eSIM problem

I ported my phone number this morning to Public Mobile. I am able to receive calls and texts and use my data. I am not able to make calls or send text. When I go into settings, this is selected as my primary and says no sim. How can I fix this.

iPhone data usage

For the past two days, my iPhone8 has been using a lot of data, mostly for push notifications and some for Siri, when on wifi in the middle of the night. This has never happened before.   I have everything I can think of turned off.  any ideas?
