Not getting 5G with option selected and U1 firmware

Hey,Followed a guide to change my S20 5G G981W firmware to G981U1 to get the 5G option to show.It now shows, but I am still only getting LTE in a 5G region.The SIM card status says LTE.Do I need to do something else to gain access to it?
