Can I delay my SIM card activation and still get the BF price?

I'm considering transferring to Public Mobile due to the great BF price. However, I just prepaid for the December cycle for my old carrier yesterday. I wonder if I can order a SIM card now and delay its activation until the end of my old carrier's December billing cycle. Does Public Mobile's billing cycle begin from the activation date? Will I still get the BF price if I delay the activation? Any help would be really appreciated!

I am in a similar situation. 
To confirm and keep the plan, I just got the SIM but I am travelling till mid January 2024. I plan on activating when I am back. Everything should work as if I were to activate my SIM now?

nobody here knows how long the "BF" offer will be available but with Christmas right around the corner, PM will likely have some new offers for us. Keep an eye on the Announcement area of the website, for current offers.

@swang_ - your billing should begin when the SIM card is activated. 

EDIT, the sim card is activated once you choose a plan and pay for it (prepaid service here).
