Trouble porting number from Virgin to Public Mobile

I set up my account with Public Mobile and tried porting my number from Virgin. I now have an account with Public but my Virgin account is still active, and my number is still with Virgin. Unable to use Public as I have no phone number. ???

Resolved! Not registering

 I've purchased a sim card. Set it all up and paid for the 15$ plan thing but it won't work. Said its not registered under any network. They actually gave me a number even and when I tried calling it to see if it would work. Someone else answered it....
