Transfer esim from 17Pro to 15Plus

My 17 Pro is active on an eSIM.It uses the same number as my older 15 Plus, now inactive , but still houses the original sim.I am returning the 17 Pro to Apple.How do I reactivate the 15 Plus on the same phone number?  Or transfer the esim to 15Plus?

No data connection starting from today morning
