Why does my phone use 3G Data when I turn on LTE on my Iphone 5?

Hey guys, Everytime i turn on my cellular data on my Iphone 5 and have LTE on, it loses service and reverts to 3G. LTE doesn't work for some reason but 3G data works just fine. Why is this? How can i get LTE working on my iphone 5? Thanks!

Data not working/Status - Suspended

Currently I have no data. I can call and text. Under my overview tab it shows - Service Status: Active.But when checking add-on usage I have this - Status: Suspended, even though I have 958mb left on my 1gb plan.Any way to fix this? Thanks.

Resolved! Loosing service between 3G and LTE

So I activated my SIM, but I find that I live in an area that shifts between 3G and LTE.  However this is remedied by selecting the 3G voice & data option.  So I'm always on the 3G network, and there are no issue swtiching between zones.
