Received points marked referrals - why?

Just checked my points balance and to my surprise in addition to the 5 point welcome it now shows an additional 8 points labeled referrals. I’m not complaining about the extra points BUT I don’t have any referrals - so is this a glitch?

Just switched over to public mobile, I have lost service with my other provider already since I was porting in my number, but just got a message on my iPhone saying there was a problem activating your e-sim. Now I have no service at all, HELP!
