@RT35 - I believe you will have to do the plan change before doing the promo, so you will need to make the change immediately.Also if you change plans within 24 months of the promo deal, the offer is void.

@RavenG - I would also suggest Apple Store, simply because of their simplicity and that it is very hard to get a bad deal or outright fake or damaged / used phone at new prices.
