I often see questions to the effect "Will my phone work on PM?". The answers are helpful for people comfortable looking at specs but less so for many I think. It may already be true, but if PM SIM cards would connect to the network but provide no service until activated potential customers could simply put it in their phone to check. Since SIMs are free to the customer, the only loss is to PM for SIMs that are never activated. This is the case with a UK company giffgaff.

PM needs to seriously Update the Data Usage info on the Self-Serve so that ppl can fully comprehend the info. Like, Have the Data Usage readout for The Plan, so if you have 2Gig readout is 2046 MB Example Then have the Add-On Data usage readout for the 1Gig and 200MB as well as 500MB if PM brings back 500MB. Then have a Grand total of how much combined for all Data, Plan and Add-On Data Perhaps PM should also have something on Self-Serve where ppl can also set where They want their Data usage to be before Data Cuts off, Giving even more control to ppl. If PM had a Shortlist of Handsets and Apps that are considered Helpful, Reliable, Recommended, Would that help ppl choose the Handset or App that's right for them? Apps that assist with Communication, or a App that does the House-Keeping of your handset to keep Phone Functioning? Or, Choosing a Handset that is Heaven, like Moto G, Moto G LTE, Moto X+2? If ppl chose, let's say, the 4Gig Data reward only, maybe offer some reward for them, like every 3 or 4 Months, as a way of saying thanks for being a valued Public Mobile Client. Like -$10 Discount for example. Or, if one picked a Prov-Wide Talk only, Maybe a additional -$5 off every 4 Months. Its gestures like these that can SWEETEN the Deal. Since receiving a new sim takes some time, customers who damage their current one need a way to get calls asap. What if they could forward calls by logging into their account rather than doing it from their phone? That way they could go to a kiosk somewhere and get pay as you go sim to tie them over; i.e. forward their PM # to their temporary service.

Hi PM, noticed while playing around on the main website and from a few questions from posters regarding about the confusion of pricing of plans that if you are selecting two options (talk/text, text/data or talk/data) for a plan the discount isnt automatically applied. If you select three options (talk/text/data) the discount does work. For whatever reason the single discount doesnt get applied and then new customers come into the forums for clarification because of the confusion.

When I heard how PM does their Province-Wide Calls when outside Home Province, I was completely stunned, shocked, a bit disgusted. Nothing personal, just feeling that PM needs to fix this issue before its too late. PM should have done it where if your # was ONT, and You go to Quebec, You should receive your Incoming ONT calls while needing a Long-Distance Add-On for any Out or any other Prov incoming call. That should have been the policy honestly. Also, PM should have a option, where if you are on a Prov Plan and out of Home Prov, having an option to add 10 Important Contacts that you can call back at no additional fee if outside Home Prov. That is essential to some peace of mind What's your take?

I had this Idea to share: If, example, you already had a CC registered and set for auto pay, and CC expired, and you forgot to update that, being able to Use an alternate CC when calling *611 so that you can have service back up and running w/o either heading to a voucher location or having little time to update CC info on Self Serve. Public should consider heavily in expanding the # of CC/Debit Credit Cards, Like Money Mart Prepaid CC, or Gift CC that you'd see in stores, or even CC's like mine that are called Global Payment MC, though they work internationally, I initially registered one, worked, that was before Telus made changes to the system, now it no longer functions on this, so I believe that PM should re-work the system so that options are available for everyone to pay for their service, regardless of what card it is persay

I noticed that in Self Serve, let's say for Toronto area, only 437 Area codes are shown, not 647, 905, 416. More importantly, only 6 dets are displayed. If ppl want to choose a specific area code, they're forced to either call *611/ 1-800-4Public, or if on New plan, Email away, or private message a PM Mod rep, which takes time for response back on a trivial issue like this, which I believe if PM had E-Chat for issues like this, would be more efficient for things like that. I believe PM should give Self Serve more Area Code options so ppl can choose area codes they want, and offer more beyond the 5-6 different sets

If we can't stop voicemail from kicking in then is there a way to make your phone ring more times before voicemail kicks in? There are times when I just can't get to the phone before it stops ringing. I would love to have my phone ring 8-10 times instead of 4-5 before going to VM. I am using a Galaxy S3 mini.

For the new plans, as its now a Buffet style set-up, perhaps PM should allow ppl in self serve, if they wish to have their plans change at specific date, give ppl that so they can choose to do so, instead of a proactive currently. Also, if ppl wish to add an addition to their buffet plan, being able to w/o having to pay all over again for entire Plans, except if after, example 10 days, then you have to pay full amount. I know Public Mobile is a cell phone provider.. but why do most people stick with Bell, Rogers or Telus? I think its because they are bundling TV, Internet and Cell phone services. I think if TekSavvy can provide decent Internet packages, and Public Mobile can provide decent Cell Phone service. wouldn't It be great if we could save a little more and make one payment monthly that covered all our Telecom needs. Hello, Though I do not communicate with PM through web mail, it's possible that the above has already been implemented. If not, I believe that it deserves serious consideration. For instance, I use mail to contact my web hosting company every time I have a question or concern. Every mail sent to the company immediately results in an automatic response that it has been received. This gives me the feeling of reassurance that my mail was not lost in cyberspace. If it is a new problem/concern, my mail is assigned a new file no. by zendesk.com which handles filing on behalf of my hosting company. If my concern/problem was already brought to the hosting company's attention, the reply-to address contains the file no. assigned by zendesk.com . In this way, more order is brought to the sending and receiving of web mail, and the problems/concerns that they contain.
