It seems like a lot of people have some basic confusions about how Public Mobile works, and how to navigate the self-serve or find solutions in the community. While I realise there is a lot of information in the knowledge base about all this, my assumption is a lot of people don't bother to read it all. Perhaps more people would get some of the essential informaiton if there were some kind of welcoem video that explains the basics?

If a client pays $80 for the Can Wide tk + text and 4 gig of data, maybe PM should throw in 5-600 Mins of US long-distance for free, as a way of thanking those who are forking over serious dollars for absolute best service, wished PM had 2 gig data plans and International Text, I'd be happy to give my $60 GF plan to my Mama and take that new plan. 3 Gig Data as well, after all, we consume data like Burger, fry and Shake. It goes fast

There is currently no clear f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board or area where users can leave their "Feedback" or "Suggestions". I assume when the Public Mobile Community Forum was being planned, that one of the objectives of Public Mobile was to encourage its' customers to provide this type of valuable insight?? Another community member helped point me to this "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board. He suggested that perhaps this was the best area to leave generic feedback; although he wasn't sure (...and neither am I). From the "Public Lab" Announcements: A few comments and impressions regarding the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board: IMHO, "Public Lab" does not mean anything (...so is it the best suited name?) After reading the "Public Lab" Announcements above and exploring the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board, my impression is that it's intended more as an area for collaborative brainstorming or group-thinking on big and new proposed concepts and ideas. As it is currently set-up, I do not feel encouraged to leave generic feedback; it just does not seem the intended purpose of the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board. ➤ In fact, in the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board you cannot just start a "New Message" (new thread) as you can in all the other f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥s⃥ boards; rather you have to start a "New Idea" (...from your 'Idea Exchange Dashboard' nonetheless!!). Perhaps rather than create a new and separate "Feedback & Suggestions" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board, you might instead encourage and steer your customers to post their 'everyday-type' comments and feedback here in the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board as well? And, while admittedly I'm not entirely clear on the current purpose of the "Public Lab" f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board, nevertheless in keeping with the K.I.S.S. rule, I suggest re-naming the f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board to better reflect it's intended purpose (i.e. incorporate words such as "new", "ideas" or "concepts" into the f⃥o⃥r⃥u⃥m⃥ board title; or even "feedback" or "suggestions" if applicable). Here are some ideas (with & without using the current "Public Lab" label): Public Lab | suggestions Public Lab | ideas Public Lab | new concepts & ideas Public Lab | feedback & suggestions Public Lab | feedback & ideas Public Lab | feedback, suggestions & ideas** Feedback & Ideas Feedback & Suggestions Feedback, Suggestions & Ideas

Due to personalized settings, voicemail is often left for me without my being aware of it. Would it be possible for PM to send an email to a customer each and every time that a voicemail were left, along with the time and duration of the call, and the caller's phone number? If any of the above is currently available for $60 grandfathered plans, please inform me here or by private message. Thank you.

The Google bot is programmed to search for, and record, fresh content. Every new concern/question posted here, and replies given, constitute fresh content. As a result, the bot visits daily. Out of curiosity, I gave a voice command to my smartphone, which was "public mobile community". That was at about 4 am today, February 20. The first indexed result was a question and all its answers posted in the community yesterday, the 19th. That is how efficient Google is at indexing. I wish to respectfully suggest the following to those members who respond to posts: Advise those members who post personal or otherwise confidential to return to their posts ASAP to either eliminate or obscure the information in question.

As Beta testers I would like the ability to stay on the same plan at the same rate past the 12 month period . I think that PM should be loyal to their customers who saw the company through it's growing pains. Too many times the big players in the mobile game take their customers for granted and this is why many of us chose to go somewhere else. I realize you can not please all the people all of the time but you do need to find a way to keep loyal customers happy.

This is something that I think is gonna be the real cliffhanger. What will PM be like in 5 Yrs time? like a 5 year mission. What we hope to see as the eventual goal. or if ppl wish to see PM remain as is, without any sort of improvements or add ons or such. I think this can offer a broader hindsight in regards to the future of Public Mobile in 5 yrs time.

Here's an Idea that I believe should be taken much more seriously. When it comes to buying your new Handset, PPL have such a tough time in places to buy. Carrier stores Don't sell directly to Public base, just clientele of Their Respective carrier, like Koodo/Telus, Bell/Virgin, Rogers/Fido. Walmart, Future Shop/Best Buy have Carrier Contracts and Clauses that prevent them from selling handsets, Moto G LTE, Nexus 4/5/6, Moto X 2nd Gen, Alcatel Icon Pop +, ZTE Grand X + for example, and Walmart, Future Shop/Best Buy Prepaid selection for general Public is almost like leftovers, hardly any Meat on the Bone. If Public Mobile is creating a Super Duper, Data Charged, LTE, All services thingy, a Handset must be built to accommodate the mission ahead. Prepaid Phones don't 100% have impressive spects to muster out the duties we expect. And if we wanted a Moto X 2 Gen, Nexus 6, Etc, places where we as non clients of Telus Mobility, or ZTE Grand X +, Rogers, well how and where do we go to buy our dream phones is really something that should be addressed, Either Directly from Manufacturer, online, Whatever sources available.

Also, as I see how Koodo and PM are almost identical, Perhaps Its time to separate the tw from the hip, and having Koodo retain their system of thought, and PM having anther system, so making it easier for ppl who are Koo Pre cross over with ease, and add more separation between the two. They are in effect, two totally different co. and PM needs to spread her wings, to move outside Koo's shadow, so as to develope her own unique identity.

Here's another: You know how after 90 days plan, regardless of old vs new, would be put to sleep, PM should have some policy, if after 90 days, but before a certain period of time, If ppl want to reactivate, paying a fee atop of plan renewal fee and such, something like a faint hope clause. PM would have some ppl happy with some relief, nothing too long, like 30-60 days after original 90 day, giving some hope to revive the account in some capacity. The other: Though there is currently no idling fee, ppl sometimes take vacations, perhaps creating an idling fee, so ppl don't shell out insane amounts of money when on vacation over 90 days old. even a $5-$10 fee is better than nothing.

What you think of this specifically? Having Public divided into 5 different portfolios that cater to individual's specific needs, so that ppl have their preferred choice? Public Data: This would cater only to those who want data, and nothing but data, undistractive, on point, let them eat as much data as their hearts content, pricing straight forward, ppl won't complain. Public basic talk: As it means, strictly for talking, No Texting, No Data, just Strictly talking, Province Wide, Canada Wide or International Wide Public Text: Again, strictly designed for that, Texting, Plus Picture texting, either Province wide, Canada Wide, or International Wide Public Basic: Strictly speaking, talk and text, No Data, add ons, just simply basic Public Mobile Simple: Simply Talk Text Data, Nothing More, Nothing Less Public Mobile Complete Services: As it means, complete, Talk, Text, Data, Roaming, 411, SMS Premium Messaging Short Codes W. Wallet for These 411 and Short Code Pay-Per-Use, Simple, Organized, Each section has their own support stuff, No Frills, No Nonsense, strictly designed so PPL choose what they want, No Pressure, No Contract, No Ring around the rosey, Now that would be alot smart. And still retain that DIYS and BYOD concept, Community, Prepaid thing for all. I think honestly, PM would do justice by partisioning PM into different sections, so PPL can decide for themselves, otherwise, ppl will complain about this and that, no one is happy, and around around we go, the cycle will never be fixed. This is my only idea realistically that would address what ppl have been arguing over: Choices, Plans, Options, Prices, No-Frills What's So Complicated? Let the debate on this begin. Lets see if ppl agree, or if ppl want this to drag on, and possibly destroy any momentum to create something that can make everyone happy.

Here's somethings that I have been noticing, and What I see is a Deeply factional Community. PPL want Data, PPL want Simple, PPL want basic, and PPL want it all. If PPL want just data, Public Mobile should call itself Public Data If PPL want basic services, Public Mobile should only offer bare minimum. If PPL want simple, make Public Mobile seamless. If PPL want it all, call it Public Mobile Full Services. Basically what I'm saying, if you want strictly Domestic, then Public Mobile just do that. BUT, when you need more beyond, GOLDEN RULE: DON'T COMPLAIN. YOU GET WHAT YOU ASKED. Just my take. Really Frustrated PPL can't make up their minds as to what do they really want. PPL want a Domestic Carrier, PPL want only Regional Carrier, PPL want only Local Carrier. I at least am attempting to ensure that every one, not myself necessarily, can have whatever their hearts desire, but PPL in this community seem to be factioned off. More like a Mathematical Question of Fractions or a Square Root. Nothing personal, or any Disrespect intended, PPL can't seem to make up their minds. That's the Frightening part. Public Data Public bare minimum service Public Simple Service Public mobile Complete Services. Saying goes, If you want Strictly Data, You get what you wish for Public mobile Bare Minimum, Same thing Public Simple Services, at least you get more, but Strictly Simple You want domestic, Fine Regional, also Fine Local, Well also fine But when Public Mobile gives you what you asked for, and it doesn't fit what you want or you need more, Don't Complain. You get what you asked for. Just my Honest observations, and Honestly, I feel PPL aren't fully aware of full potential as of yet.

So far, the self serve experience has been mainly positive. I believe the selfe serve menu can benefit even better from further tweakings here and there, and adding more payment options beyond credit card and voucher options, like a return of pre-authorized banking, more add-ons, an better organized way to get to all options, like voice mail password resets, just so that navigating self serve can be more easier to manage than being another chore. Also, if Public Mobile were to, lets say, reinstate the functions like SMS Premium Messaging Short Codes, 411 access, Roaming in general, having an additional toggle to choose, subscribing to these hopefully potential features, and agreeing to all the tou/tos and the legal info that's usually mandatory, and having an separate thing for Wallet Topping specifically for the SMS Premium Messaging Short Codes. But all in all, self serve seems ok, but can certainly grow better with necessary upgrades to improve locations of options, and much more

Public Mobile should consider, for Clients who meet exceptional Standards, account always up to date, Provided Amazing Feedback and Tips, Hints, that stuff. Perhaps even offering Grandfathered Plan clients like myself, with something when we reach 5 yr, 10 yr. And so forth, a Reward that varies every anniversary thing. This would drive up the suspense, Raising eyebrows, and generating a Loyalty client base that will follow Public Mobile. Public Mobile has me Hooked. Now, if only some Siren App can be resuscitated, updated, upgraded, Unprecedented. Hope to see It again, Someday. Really loved that App. Was like Zee Jukebox of Phone heaven

Had This Crazy Idea. Public Mobile should have an Timeline History of Its Conception, Bibliography, To Tell of Public Mobile and its History? Even Telus as well? PPL should at least get a Chance to Know the History, From Earliest Logos, Basic Phones, Prices, Siren App Logo, It does Tell about the History and How Far Public Mobile has Come. Plus, Though Pointless, What really would be Touching, Alek Krstajic Bibliography, A Electronic Bust portrait of Him Something that at least Shows PPL, New + Old. The Old Public Mobile HQ, all that. Would be Awesome.

Hi. Though I understand the importance of fairness to the new clientele in regards to rewards and other perks, I wish PM could offer something for Ol Grandpa's like us, who at least attempt to give the community our all. Like, for every 5 solutions or something, perhaps 5-10% off Add-Ons, something nice, nothing too rich like what new plans get, of course, they deserve the special offers, but at least something to the ol' planers like us who will always have PM's back, no matter what.

Hi. Public Mobile should Post The AWS Frequencies PM Network supports, so Clients, new and current, can quickly do comparisons when on the Hunt for the next big SmartPhone, PPL are encountering some issues about frequency compatabilities, and I believe that by posting the spectrum fully, can reduce stressful, exhausting and eye straining research to ensure Phones brands they choose support specific spectrums, 3G/HSPA/HSPA+4G Lets make it happen.
