If PM had a Shortlist of Handsets and Apps that are considered Helpful, Reliable, Recommended, Would that help ppl choose the Handset or App that's right for them?

Apps that assist with Communication, or a App that does the House-Keeping of your handset to keep Phone Functioning?

Or, Choosing a Handset that is Heaven, like Moto G, Moto G LTE, Moto X+2?

Or a Phone that has fewest issues that ppl may find as a deal-maker?

Or even a phone with Wonderful 4G LTE experience?

Maybe PM should have a Shortlist on this.

What you think?

Yes/No/Maybe?

Let's debate

That's the Power of the Public Mobile

makkhan128, All that PM can do is state which frequencies are required, and which vendors have compatible phones. The company cannot express an opinion regarding which compatible phones are better than other compatible phones, or which apps are great. The primary reason is liability. If the company were to recommend this, but not that, it's opening itself to a potential lawsuit if the recommended product does not perform as expected, or causes damage. Pursuant to the above, there is nothing to be gained by PM, and potentially a lot to be lost, thus no incentive to recommend.

Its only a Suggestion, Not a Take it deal. If PM had a Shortlist, maybe ppl can have some insight into what they're looking for, A Look in right direction. Suggestion only

Hi, Even a shortlist creates potential liability.

Seems more appropriate for the community to create such a list.

Might evn be better than a "corporate" list anyway as it would reflect users experiences. Of course it would mean that recommendations are slightly behind the newest products while experience accumulates.

Hello Luddite, The suggestion by makkahn128 has been made by other posters, including one volunteering to create a board and keep it updated. The response, in the past, was that it would be a duplication of what currently exists. What immediately comes to mind is Red Flag Deals. If you have a question or concern, ask there, and the replies are very well-informed. Why reinvent the wheel?

Hi again, Not that I want to beat this matter to death, but, if the community maintains a list, where would it be? If it would be on the PM website, that would entail the PM web design team. Its cooperation in creating a new page, or section of an existing page, would be necessary. Even if the team were willing, potential liability would still exist. As lawyers are conservative and risk-adverse, they would never agree with part of the corporate site being used.

Agreed. Plus folks who want specific advice can ask, or google it. After all we're all willing to share our experience.
