I've taken a look around the community, the Play Store and online and find no reference to a Public Mobile app for accessing self serve features, managing account information and monitoring things like usage, payments and days remaining. An app of this type would be very useful as for people like me whose main access to the internet is my phone and I prefer to use apps rather than access things through my phone's browser. Cheers. ... First of all the obvious ... This isn't a groundbreaking new idea, but I thought it would be beneficial if Public Mobile had a note on the "Contact Us" page that notified users that often their messages go to the spam inbox in their email systems.  This would help the communication process between PM and its clients, I think some people may be thinking that PM is not contacting them at all, or they are ignoring their emails...    Just a thought...  ... I think you should add a Canada Wide Addon for people with Province wide who only call out of there province once in a blue moon and also for people who only use calling a little bit a month and dont need unlimited so they can choose no calling and then get a 500 min add on for like $25 that they can then use. Set up a bot, like a viertual concierge.  A smart database, which is accessible via social media, PM website and PM mobile app.  I am aware that relevant experts can set up such a bot that will greet visitors and allow potential/existing customers to ask questions in normal conversational tone (spoken and/or typed).  And then come up with an answer for the question asked.  This would be a one-time big effort to set it up followed by relative ease in maintainance.     I see this working amazingly well with a fully featured Public Mobile app.. I recently broke my phone, I contacted public mobile via Facebook. They informed me that I am able to take my sim card, put it in a friend's compatible phone and forward all calls using the settings menu. I did this, forwarded it to a calling app I have downloaded on my tablet. IT WORKED😁. and it still works after taking my sim card out of the phone! ... my only issue is that I am not able to do this with my sms😟. In self serve on the public mobile website we are able to view the time, date and numbers of our message history, but it doesn't show what the message says. My idea is a menu option in self serve so we can send and receive sms on a Web browser. And/or an option where we can send and receive sms through email. ... View more

For the folks who do not wish to fiddle around with expiry and termination of account dates but wish to retain their "home" phone number, how about an add-on that costs $10/calendar month and is purchased in 3 - 9 month increments. To ease the back end burden I suggest it be a 1 time cost (ie. $30-$90) and take effect IMMEDIATELY. Dead easy for travellers to figure out. Account is dormant during that period and cancelled if no payments received prior to the End Date.   I'm too frugal for this plan, but the options using the regular plans all involve staying in touch with your account within 90 days of expiry. ... Right now it's only limited to numbers in Canada. Why not enabling call forwarding to the US, provided the long distance ad-on still has unused minutes. If we can call there, why aren't we able to forward there? Call forwarding may than automatically stop as soon as all add-on minutes are used up.   ... View more

The usage history table in selfserve does not show clearly the time of the calls. Time is on 12 hours mode, but does not show whether it's AM or PM, so it's kinda hard for me to determine if that call was made moring or evening. ... View more

The ability for a MOD or employee to add a refer a friend to an account where it existed before but for account fixing situations, a new account was needed.  This may not happen too often but in my case, I set up my account first with a temporary number. After about a week everything seemed to be working so I ported my wife and completed refer a friend (i.e. myself). Everything was working well until I attempted to port my old Rogers number & after several errors, I suspect auto-fill was kind enough to enter the wrong porting number. To cut to the chase, in order to resolve the situation, a fine PM MOD was able to save that number, port the one I wanted but it meant creating a new account for myself which as it turned out didn`t have the refer a friend (as I didn`t think if it & probably wouldn`t have worked as she was now already a customer).  A while later I realized I was no longer getting the refer a friend rewards but apparently it is not technically possible to add this later - even by employee or mods.     ... Customers that want or require invoices should not need to ask for one each billing cycle. Prepaid or Public Mobile is a business offering a service and charging applicaple taxes including HST in Ontario. What is Public Mobile's HST number? customers are getting confused looking at transaction history, issuing receipts with more information could clearify this. ... View more

the discussion forum is labeled as "A general forum for posts that don’t fit anywhere else." I understood it as a place that isn't necessarily phone service issue related, somewhere that can get the community here talking about anything. However, it may appear that it is still subject to issues with your service. If that is the case, then I suggest there should be one for all other topics. We all have different likes and interests. I figure we could have discussions about a whole range of off-topics (outside of politics as there is no good that can come from that) like sports, tv/movies, vacation plans/tips, music, etc. Maybe it'll generate more traffic to these boards - the general population only visits for negative reasons. Special characters (É, Ç etc.) in top navigation menu are not displayed properly on PM Community website . Top menu links on a general website are OK  but there are same problems in a drop-down menu on "Where to buy PM payment  vouchers" page (in "select your city" for Quebec). Same problem in different browsers.  Please, fix it! ... View more

If PM were to do this, if PPL Lost their handsets or handsets were stolen, and they needed to use the Lost/Stolen icon, CC Auto-Pay would Automatically be Disableed until a Replacement handset or if Handset was found, Would be more easier than needing to click the Lost/Stolen icon, then find Payment and Disable Auto-Pay Would save ppl time with all-in-one Sequence ... This may already be a thing I don’t know. But there should be a feature for texting a mod. Just a general number that mods can check and answer. Seems silly given the structure is self service and community based but say I sign up for a talk and text plan with no data. And I need assistance. Or I’m just out and my data craps out. Especially with auto pay say my data runs out and I’m not near a computer or wifi being able to text a mod and request a top up of data would be a good thing.  ... View more
