This may already be a thing I don’t know. But there should be a feature for texting a mod. Just a general number that mods can check and answer. Seems silly given the structure is self service and community based but say I sign up for a talk and text plan with no data. And I need assistance. Or I’m just out and my data craps out. Especially with auto pay say my data runs out and I’m not near a computer or wifi being able to text a mod and request a top up of data would be a good thing.

Rightly or wrongly, a decision was made to integrate all the contact methods into one. The community forum with private messaging the moderator team is it. I doubt any other suggestions will be considered.

Not true. Public Mobil does us text method to send information to their customers. I received one just last week about who to contact for complaints about cell service. I’m assuming it was a general text that everyone got not just me. So if they relied solely on the community forum as u suggest they would have sent a mail through community support. DD925CF5-7E4E-4A3E-92A0-69AA1AE579E8.png

I would think of this as an extension of the community, to at the very least enable text to private message.

I would prefer Email reply to mods instead of logging in and the writing messages.

I have no issues with only community messages that way mods can focus on one area.  I know when there were multiple methods communicating people would contact on all methods and that just created more issues.   Its like the banks and stores firm one single line and the next agent will help vs everyone in various lines.

@Brandonlelievre

I believe that the automated messages are coming from a different team and "server" at Public Mobile that is separate from the moderator team (= customer service reps).

As @will13am and @mimmo have mentioned, the decision has been made this summer to have private messages in the community as the only contact channel. I don't see that changing any time soon.

@mimmo Email replies feel like a convience which I'm not against or anything but I think this idea was more for when you're away from any accessible internet except your phone but your mobile data won't work. Unless I'm mistaken, there's no real way to get help except to go find some internet and get onto the community.

@AlexOfAnders I guess the question would then be how often would your scenario happen? No accessible internet and no phone internet happening at the same time.   It seems like a small infrequent occurance

@mimmo I'd agree, it seems rather unlikely although it can feel nice to have some safety net in the most dire of situations.
