Hey Community,
We’ve heard that some of you have received spam in your Private Message folder on the Community. The team has put great effort into filtering out spam messages, but in the case you do receive one, here’s what to do:
1. DO NOT click on any links within the message
2. Report the message
3. Delete the message
Note that you do not need to submit a ticket. Our Moderator team will be taking immediate action and banning users sending the spam messages upon reporting.
Your safety and security is top priority for us. We are investigating additional ways to help limit these instances. Please help us by staying vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity on the Community.

@Catherine_T thank you. I received one today and I reported it. I didn't delete after reporting because I was afraid my report might get deleted as well. So now I will report, then delete.

Great information - I've received a few over the past several weeks.
I'm fairly new to the Community, but am I correct in that persons can create a Community account WITHOUT having an account with Public Mobile?
Are most of these 'spammers' active PM account holders or just Community members with no active services?
If so, has it been considered that for those who do not have accounts and just want to pose questions and review responses on the Community, perhaps they ought to have limited capability such that they are UNABLE to utilize Private Messaging functions to other users.

Thanks this great info expecially for the new user. Is there a help article on this? Or could it be pinned in the community board? I can finally get rid of the message from the town floozie last December!

Thanks. I never look for the report button as I never received any spam private message since I joint this forum over 2 years ago.
Me neither lol. I didn't get the innocuous harmless invite last year either. People got all up in arms that it went to a porn site. Don't click on it! Sheesh.
