Is it just me, or did anyone else notice this new Promotion Plan? I just went into the 'Change Subscription' part of My Account using the Mobile App and seen this $50 • 40GB Canada-US Plan available in Manitoba, so I'm assuming everywhere else as well?
This plan and similar ones had only been seen for Quebec up until now, what has sparked this sudden change and how did I only just find out about this now!

Your theory was correct, it was introduced only a few weeks later with 5G. 🙃

For a similar example, the actual wording under the incompatible Christmas bonus data add-ons after switching to the 5G unlimited is "Why is my data add-on incompatible? Some Data Add-ons are restricted to certain base subscriptions. If you switch to a subscription that is compatible with your existing data add-on, you will still be able to use it."

hairbag1's reply is also my bet. It just wouldn't get used. But it would hang around until you might change plans. I think the so-called incompatible thing with data is because of the throttled unlimited. But those add-ons will also hang around until you change plans to a non-unlimited plan. The US calling would just be redundant. Until needed again.

any add-on that you have but don't use will stay on your account until you do get around to using it...even if that takes several months or more. If you switch the the Canada / US plan....any remaining US calling add-on will just sit in your account idling until you get back to needing it.

I can test that theory, but unfortunately I just missed my renewal date so I won't be moving into this $50 plan until Aug 13. I'm sure some others will be able to report back sooner.

good point about the existing add-in
I guess we need some "brave" soldier to 'run to the enemy line" to confirm
But I am pretty sure incompatible add-on will be back as compatible if the plan is ever change back to the "regular" Canadian only 4G/3G plan

@Priority Yes I believe that’s how it would work just stay on your account as incompatible. Until such time you changed back to a reg plan . I’ve seen oracle say this about 5G services pls and add on data like the free holiday give away . Would be listed as incompatible but be there when and if you switched back of 5G unlimited plan

If I am currently on the Canada only 30GB • $44 and have a 1,000min US Calling Add-on, would that become 'incompatible' if I switched to the new $50 • 40GB Canada-US Promotion Subscription considering that new Plan would include calling from Canada to the USA in it, or would it continue to use the Add-on?
Also, if the Add-on is incompatible while on the $50 Canada-US Plan, will it become compatible again as soon as I switch back to a Canada plan say I do in the future?

It’s a good deal if you travel to the US. But I only go there maybe once a year maybe once every couple of years so that’s when my public points will come in handy..
I have a 90 day plan currently but I’m switching to monthly in September because deal season is coming up and I don’t wanna be tied down to 90 day plan anymore.
This is my first season with Public so I’m kind’ve excited to see what they’ll offer. I’ve been eyeing Public since summer 2022. Formerly with Virgin Mobile…
Even if other companies come out with slightly better plans I’m not gonna leave Public because this community alone is worth having. I enjoy using this platform alot. Virgin did offer me 50gigs for 40$ as a win back but they’re notorious for raising your bill after a few months.

This plan only includes 40GB. It'll be ineresting to see if the 5G Can-US plans get introduced across the country.

Well this is interesting as I'm in Manitoba. But I have Telus EPP already at $40 30GB incl LTE Apple Watch so... the US part would be OK but I don't go to the US often enough to benefit from it. But thanks for sharing.

It is available in ON, too.
There are few other promos, too and it looks like PM is not advertising these promos properly.

It also appears to be available in Manitoba, showing up on the Website and everything.
