I've noticed something odd since switching to Public Mobile, as I was priory with Bell and this feature always worked with Bell before but now never with Public Mobile.
I have the 40GB • $50 Canada-US Plan which still has 33.8GB left and everytime I turn on Mobile Hotspot and Connect another Device to it, it always says 'No Internet Connection' and if it does happen to give my teathered Device Wi-Fi that actually works from my Hotspot than my Data won't work at all while I have my Hotspot on and I can't do anything on my phone like it's giving all my bandwidth to the Connected Device.
With Bell I could have my Hotspot on, 3 Devices Connected, and I could still use my Data with Bell but now with Public Mobile I can't when teathering.. why is this happening and how do I fix it?
Mobile Hotspot is crucial to me as I use it constantly and Public pressumed to offer this feature, but it's not working normally as it should considering I just came from Bell where it was working so I feel like it's a feature I'm missing all together here when this is happening.
I'm on LTE all the time whether with Hotspot on or off but that doesn't seem to make a difference in Connection for neither Devices unfortunately.

I tested it out today and it seemed to work normally. @DennyCrane I am using the Canada-US Plan.
Maybe just everytime I used it before it was malfunctioning? I didn't adjust any settings or anything.

I deleted the current apn's. Then discovered several Koodo and Telus apn's magically appeared. I deleted those as well. Then I added the apn's back for each sim.
I suspect that this set up gets messed up when a "foreign" sim is used. I had this set up before I went out of country in May and used a foreign service. I hadn't noticed the change until I looked at things to check on the very helpful post from KababMan. So I re-did things again. Everything works as I intended it to.

@DennyCrane , I remember this now. You couldn’t edit it, no option to. I made a suggestion to create a new APN profile by selecting “+ Select New APN “ using @softech APN settings! 😉
Edited: Again to fix the “wording”!

you tried this? And remember DUN could be case sensitive
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy:
Port:
Username: <blank>
Password: <blank>
Server:
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMS Proxy: mmscproxy.mobility.ca
MMS Port: 8799
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication Type: Not Set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
or default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri
(might need to include DUN for hotspot, please note case sensitive)
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled
or Turn APN on/off APN turned on
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO (Mobile virtual network operator) type: GID
MVNO (Mobile virtual network operator)value: 4D

I have dual sim both with Public. I use one primarily for data. I then use the other for just mms. I have the mms one using apn type set to just mms. I have the primary apn type set to default, mms, dun. I have no other apn's. Hotspot works fine. Which means the tethered item doesn't need to be there.
Don't forget to set the connecting device wifi setting to know it's a metered connection (if that's an option like on my W10 laptop).

I never had any issues with hotspot until I changed to the Canada/US plan. Here's the thread where I posted about this 2 weeks ago and @softech provided the APN instructions which fixed it for me.

@Priority , I am on the $15, 250mb 3G Speed Plan & only use mine when necessary but have no issues using the hotspot on my iPhone to connect my iPad through it using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The only settings I have are below.
Edit: Yet I’m told it is supposed to be set to sp.mb.com which I did but it apparently changes to isp.mb.com when I reset network settings & rebooted my iPhone! 🤔 I fixed it again then updated screenshot! Glad you brought this up!

Works for me out of the box, but some people have said you have to add "dun" to the "APN type" (I already had it apparently).
(To get to that screen on the S23 it's Settings->Connections->Mobile Networks->Access Point Names->Tethered Mobile Internet.)

@Priority I have not noticed this . It worked for me in the past without issues . Will try again later today when I have another phone close by to test and report back
