Getting data usage when connected to wifi

DukeDinh

I notice that public mobile always uses up data at 12:00am, 1:00am and 2:00am when I'm 100% sure that i'm connected to wifi and I was sleeping during those times. There are days when they subtract 100mb to 200mb of data from my plan without any reason

@DukeDinh  It's likely that at least some, if not all, is PM's tallying of your day's usage and not that you are actually using data at those times.  If you have an iPhone, you can turn off WiFi assist, and anything similar if it's an Android.  You can also just toggle off cellular data and just toggle it back on when you need it.  Phones usually have a menu for that if you swipe down from the top of the screen, to save having to go into Settings each time.

@DukeDinh  PM updates/refreshes the usage twice per day, and sometimes you may notice anomalies. Have you tried comparing what the app says versus the website? (I find the app to be more accurate) You can refresh the website by clicking on the link in the data box, or on your phone by swiping down. PM sometimes displays slightly higher (buffer) numbers that don’t count against your actual usage. All of that said, if you feel like your data is being used incorrectly, or fear you are going to run out (and it’s not because you’re actually using it) try opening a ticket and chatting with a CS_Agent using the orange chat bubble on the bottom right, and perhaps they can do some digging for you. Hope this helps
