Hi,   Earlier I had posted about the unavailability of PM top up vouchers at the location indicated in the official list.   I guess I was knocking on the wrong door.   For e.g ESSO.   The top up vouchers are not available off the shelf or are not displayed along with other gift card/top up cards on the shelf. Instead, one is supposed to go to the cashier and ask him. He will punch in a code in the machine and give you a code to recharge.   I just happened to ask the cashier while paying for my gas and he was like, yes we do have PM top up voucher and I have to tell him the amount and then he will give me the code.   It would be great if moderators/admins @Shazia_K @Mary_M would add this point on the page for top up vouchers. Hi guys    I think we should have pay per use. In existing plan, we can pay for our services. Not everyone can choose Add ons before they use the services. In my opinion, we should have pay per use if our account has balance. It will be more convenience for those people who don't need too many monthly services or occasionally usage. Thanks ... I know this should be blatantly obvious to most people but... apparently it is not... You would be amazed how many people sign up for a 90 day plan then get all surprised at first bill   Maybe on activation email them a pdf of terms of service or something   I suspect this confusion is because most other prepay options are either per minute rates or 30 day top ups   ... Hi guys, Just been thinking about the difficulties some people have sometimes to fill out the online activation form. Sometime, some people have to give up the process and come back later, but still have to restart  the process over. Should it be a good idea if PM could give a saving time (8 to 24 hours to retrieve the information initially filed out and continue...)  where the activation process can be put on hold or pending that can give people a chance to finalize their activation later or asap if the situation doesn't permit to finish it at the time?   Think about it... ... There are different groups of people with different mobile needs. Some are heavy users of data, others are using the voice calls extensively and still there are people who cannot do without text messages. PM now has add-ons for voice calls and data for both casual and heavy users, but none available for test messages. I suggest PM to consider adding two levels of text messages, $5 for 200 and $10 for 500 out-going messages with in-coming ones free, as a new add-on option. Currently it's $15 per month for global unlimited when choosing a plan. It's either you choose the $15 or none. For some people, they don't need that much texting, but only the option of text messaging made available for them to use from time to time. This idea shoud be beneficial to all parties, PM will get additional revenue from the new text messages add-ons, at the same time, your Plan becomes more flexible to meet the needs of those who are casual users of text messages. There should be no negative impact to PM as those who MUST have text messages will not choose the text messages add-on that has a ceiling of 200 or 500, an amount they can use it up in no time. For those casual users of text messages, they will happily pay PM for the $5 or $10, and, eventually they will use up the quota and will top-up in the near future - again and again - guarantee income for PM in the long run. Perhaps those casual users will discover the benefits of texting and get converted to choose the global unlimited plan next payment cycle!  Also, those casual users MUST purchase data option, either in 10-30-90 days plan or data add-on, before they can use text messages add-on. PM will then have revenue from the data add-ons, from those casual users which they may simply stay with the Province-wide plan and purchase nothing else.  Again, good business for PM. ... View more

Not sure if this is feasible;   Change the banner for the cellular provider to PM from Public Mobile. EVERYONE who is here references PM as PM. If someone is being refered they woul tell them exactly where to go (so the referree gets the referall bonus) so no loss in communication of your actual name and new service.    Reason - to clean up my lock screen title bar. Hi, I have a cottage in the woods.. and am out there on every wknd, sometimes every second wknd.  I own a Huawei Hub that would be great to utilize for when I am out there. As I already am a customer with my Samsung Cell phone, it would be great to have a discount for a second service in my name.  As it stands, I pay for full internet monthly service out there with telus.  A real waste of money as I'm not always out there on wknds but still paying monthly.  Any options?  Need about 3 gig per month at least to watch my movies on netflix.  Don't need talk or text, already have it on my cell. ... Public should revamp log in system to get rid of email registrations altogether. All kinds of issues have been popping up from this, everything from Koodo/Telus port issues to abuse of the communities by shill accounts.   Public should have as a long term goal, all login done with cell number + password/pin combination.   One single access point, easily verified (via txt message for registration, password recovery) for account info, community, and tech support.   How many times have we seen mods trying to ask please PM me your cell I will look at your account. ... After reading a post on the 12 GB thing, was thinking, what would be considered a fair bargain, best of both worlds? How bout this?   12 GB, lets say on Prov-Wide, Global Txt and 12 GB for $186 after $60 Discount 3 Bundle thing, $176-$180 would be sweet spot.   Can-Wide, $201, maybe $185-$190 Range could be about right.   Can-US, $216, $195-$205 would be considered fair   Now 12 GB Stand alone, $150, perhaps I can understand, to a degree. Maybe $120 could be potentially a sweet spot, or $135 at least, being fair and competitive nonetheless     What if PM tried to create a Longer Term Cycle that would give 12 GB a run for the win?   Otherwise, the 12 GB might not be as lucrative, and perhaps needs to be readjusted to fit the realities.   Perhaps PM should consider reducing Data for 90 Day to 9 GB?   Create a 150 or 180 day cycle, and perhaps the 12 GB might make more sense in the long-run, I know Data is NOT cheap, BUT PM should try to fit the Data in the schedule somehow, to give 12 GB more relevence, more purpose, a reason to exist for practical reasons and sweet price reasons ... Hello! We would be very glad if PM could give individual access to delete comments that are/is not important. We have the modified option, but not deleted option. I was thinking, that there are those who can't 100% afford a Plan these days, and I was thinking, What if PM had a certain program in place where those who have to pinch those nickels and dimes more carefully, and where Phones are more of a Lux to them due to other Considerations, what If PM had something in place to care for those who can surely benefit from a basic Phone plan that is affordable for them, as a way of helping them on their feet, and showing the compassionate, gentle, softer side that can bring positive impressions to Carriers that are willing to go the whole 9 yards, something that I hope PM could one day consider.   Its not always about Profits, it should be about not leaving anyone behind, but to lift them from their troubles and giving a helping hand.     ... I remember reading in the community about this issue but was unable to find it again.   Just a question, what does TELUS (the owner of Public Mobile, Telus and Koodo) have to fear by blocking text messages being sent from Twitter?   People will not always be in an area that has data, and emergency messages that are sent from Government Agencies that are on Twitter have a better chance of reaching more people.   If Telus is not afraid, then how about allowing text messages from Twitter since Bell and WIND allow this.   Darren ... If giffgaff.com and Public Mobile had an arrangement to stock each others' sim cards travellers could get one via local delivery.   Canadians going to UK/Europe would order a giffgaff card from PM, and   UK visitors to Canada would order a PM card from giffgaff.   Both can be activated online and both companies support unlocked phones.
