Top up voucher locations

Hi,

Earlier I had posted about the unavailability of PM top up vouchers at the location indicated in the official list.

I guess I was knocking on the wrong door.

For e.g ESSO.

The top up vouchers are not available off the shelf or are not displayed along with other gift card/top up cards on the shelf. Instead, one is supposed to go to the cashier and ask him. He will punch in a code in the machine and give you a code to recharge.

I just happened to ask the cashier while paying for my gas and he was like, yes we do have PM top up voucher and I have to tell him the amount and then he will give me the code.

It would be great if moderators/admins @Shazia_K @Mary_M would add this point on the page for top up vouchers. It would save a lot of trouble for many first timers like me.

Thats how they do it at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar, shoppers drug mart they're on the shelf.

I'm in a small town, Alliston Ontario 🙂 I guess all of them don't carry them. The things they have on the shelves are kinda for show, they print out a receipt like other places.

Alliston ! Nice. passed through couple of times to go to Earl Rowe Park.

I guess it's better to ask them rather than looking on the shelves.

I asked at the Cashier at my local Metro, listed in the database as a voucher vendor.

The cashier flipped through a bunch of different mobile providers (bell, fido, rogers, etc..) but had noting for Public Mobile.  Said, sorry we don't sell them.

I wonder if I went back and asked again.  hmmm...

I think Metro does not have PM top up vouchers.

I tried at my local Metro too but the cashier could not find it.

But I could find it at ESSO.

The cashier didn't look at the computer system... just a ring of "other carriers" laminated and attached to a big ring for easy access.

She let me look at the ring, and no, it wasn't there.

It is possible it's available, as they do western union payments and other such tings.  I'll ask again, just in case 🙂
