I just paid for the 5g, $39 a month plan and I am unable to call. Why is this, and how do I activate my phone to call?

Is this a new account? If it's a pre-existing account, were calls working before the plan change?

new activation? What phone do you have?
did you try your sim card in another phone?
it could be just a sim card provisioning issue. Easy fix for support but you need to engage them via direct message:
