I wonder What happens when data on call minutes finishes? Does it become disconnected or it would not become disconnected and there would be overcharges based on extra usage?

You get exactly what you pay for. Nothing more nothing less!

Everything at public mobile is prepaid. If you don't pay for it ahead of time it won't work. If something does work that you are not expecting don't worry about it...it's either free or included. You will never be charged for it.
If you have used up all of a service like data it will just stop and the feature line and counter will just disappear from your account. You will not be able to use that service unless you purchase an add on, change or renew your plan early. All add ons are one time purchases that do not expire and will roll over each month until completely consumed.
If you do want to purchase an add on then you must look at your account as a vending machine. Peruse the options, make your choice ( chips? twizzlers? or a candy bar?) $5/500 min add on? Now add the funds to your account balance. Once you add the money you can press the buttons to get the twirly thing to move forward and drop your bag of chips to the bottom of the vending machine for you to retrieve....selecting the add on is the same.
You tick (1) and then scroll down to the bottom of the page. Confirm that what you chose is what you wanted and then submit your payment. Your add on will appear on your overview page and you can log out and reboot your phone.
If you are registered for autopay or have a balance in your account pm will not touch it except for plan renewal. First it applies your rewards, then it takes from your balance and lastly autopay will charge your card on file. PM will never take funds out of your account or make charges to your card like other providers can. You approve and submit all charges to your card with the exception of autopay.

Inbound calls will work. Texting will work in and out. Data will work if you have any left.
Wait for your next cycle for more outbound minutes or data or buy the $5 500 minute add-on or the $15 1 GB of Data that does not expire until all used up. When your new cycle starts the add ons will not be used until you run out again.

Do mean when you use up all your minutes ($15 plan - 100 outgoing minutes per billing cycle)?
You will not be able to call anybody anymore until your next billing cycle starts. You WILL be able to receive calls as incoming calls are unlimited and do not count against 100 minutes..
If you would need more minutes, you can buy add-on.
Same is with data (250MB for $15 plan). Your internet access will just stop and will restart with the next billing cycle (another chunk of 250MB).
You CANNOT go over the minutes/data and be charged as PM is prepaid service.

PM does not have overages. Your calls would stop. You can purchase an add-on for $5 for 500 minutes.

yes.. if the monthly limit for data is used up, you can't use mobile data unless you buy add-on
if call mins are used up (assuming you are on the $15 plan), you cannot make outgoing calls but you can still receive incoming calls. Similarly, you can buy extra add-ons for voice call if you want to
Then when next cycle comes, everything will be reset and you are good to go again with data and outgoing clls.

Your service would just stop until your next renewal or you add $$ for add-ons. For calls, consider getting the $5 / 500 minutes of Canada wide calling add-on. Unused minutes just roll over.
There are no overages to worry about.
