Lost Day of 30-Day Bill Cycle

PMUserDC

Hello!

I'm on a 30-day $15 plan. This cycle, my payment fell awkwardly on July 1. I didn't notice till today, but I was charged for this on June 30 (posted date July 4), but from the Payments tab under My Account, Payment History records show it was billed July 1.

No issue there. It's the fact that it now says my next payment is due July 30, but it should be July 31 (right?). For context, my recent payments have been: March 3, April 2, May 2, June 1, July 1 (paid June 30). These follow the 30-day pattern and would mean July 31 should be the next bill date, not July 30. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help!

@CountyDownIeUk Thanks for drawing attention to the change in terminology!

It could be, but I don't know. From the response I got, I expect that the date for mine will be adjusted from July 30 to 31. If it were a terminology and subsequent billing date change, though, that should be for everyone. So it wouldn't explain why it seems that a few users are having this issue, but it's not affecting everyone.

Hmmm but mine went back a day.

Original said before Aug 1....meaning July 31.

New says July 31.......one day back depending on how you want to interpret it.

Actually they both say the same thing.

I think I will print the range of dates to pick up more information.

Just as an update: It was confirmed that the next bill (renewal) date should be July 31, so this change has been requested and should be updated in the system at some point. Sounds like it's probably an issue that came out of the website updates.

Thanks everyone for your help on this!

@fujiyama All good! I appreciate the response all the same, as it could well have been something like that. It was ultimately really helpful to use the calendar calculator (which I've never seen before) to see that there was an actual difference.

I will let you know what results.

Thanks!

You're right @PMUserDC I didn't think that through properly, my apologies. Hope the CSAs can sort that out for you quickly. Please come back and update us on the results👍

@fujiyama Thanks for the response!

That would make sense if that were the pattern, but it isn't. The previous bill dates do not include the day as part of the 30. As examples from the previous bill days, my bill date of April 2 to May 2 (the next bill date) is 31 days if you include the day, 30 if you don't: https://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html?m1=04&d1=2&y1=2022&m2=5&d2=2&y2=2022&ti=on. It's the same with May 2 to June 1 (30 days if you don't include the day, 31 if you do): https://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html?m1=5&d1=2&y1=2022&m2=6&d2=1&y2=2022&ti=on. So July 1 to July 31 is 30 days if you include it, but 29 if you don't, and this is different from every billing cycle previous to it.

Also, the issue is that my bill payment wasn't June 30, but July 1. I was charged June 30, but my "next payment" had stated July 1 and the history of payments also shows July 1.

@softech Thanks for your response as well! Yes, I will have months with multiple payments, which is fine. But that should be July (1 and 31), not June (1 and 30).

Thanks!

No errors here, the billing is weird due to Canada Day and it is weird to see the same start & end dates for two consecutive cycles with PM lol.

Your next cycle will start on July 31.

@fujiyama   kind of like Pay Day.  Every 2 weeks have a pay, and there could be 3 Fridays in a month and you get 3 pays

Except this is pay day for PM, they got 2 charges in a month

BTW, I think only PM is still using 30 days cycle.  Both Lucky and Chatr are monthly, when will we join them ?

The first day counts as the first day so July 1 = Day 1, July 30 = Day 30. Yes I think you might be right, and for this you should open a ticket and talk to a support agent to make some manual changes!
