If i Subscribe to a plan, order a sim, can i wait until my current phone plan ends its bill cycle and THEN activate my public mobile plan? Or is there a time limit/expiry date on the new SIM card that will be sent to me?

yes you can do that for physical sim
there is no set date on how long you have to activate after you received the sim cards but probably ok for a month

You can wait @FK20 . Be aware that if you're moving from a PRE paid provider, they won't refund you if you move after they charge you for a new cycle.
If you move from a POST paid provider, they'll refund you the prorated amount for the number of days you use upon porting your number here to Public Mobile.
Welcome!!!

@FK20 No no time limit , but you need to make sure your old providers account is active to port so do it day or two before it’s about to end leaving old providers sim in the phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port . Once you have successfully ported number to PM it will automatically close your old providers account for you
