Friend passed away. How can we help him disconnect PM service

Friend passed away and we have now information about his information on PM.  How can I help him disconnect the PM service.  Thank you for feedback

@captaincool  if there is no will then it will go to probate (courts) to decide after placing his name in the royal gazette to see if anyone or unknown  children or debt collectors come forward  To make a claim

He had no one.  It is now just friends taking care of his stuff.  Many things are still unknown as we don't have any authority to access his personal information.  Will the government take everything of his??

Sorry to hear ...

If you can gain access to his PM account:
- report phone lost/stolen. Account will be deleted after 90 days of no pay
- remove autopay. account closes after 90 days.
- if he has autopay somebody should cancel his credit card. 90 days rule applies.
- contact agent, explain situation, they should able to delete his account. They might ask for proof...

You might be jumping the gun.
Is the phone the only source of email?

Is the phone set up for any second factor for bank accounts?
Is the phone set up for any second factor for access of something still needed? Like CRA or?

sorry for your lost

easiest way is to cancel the credit card.  PM cannot charge the service and account would be suspended and properly closed 90 days later

another way is to check with CS agent, but you are not the owner of the account and they might not help (so credit card way should be better)

@captaincool sorry for your loss .  You can ask support to help . Also note when the bank is notified and the credit card on file is cut off it shouldn’t get charged again and close the account after 90 days suspended
