I see there are no add ones for travel to Caribbean, I will purchase a SIM card on Amazon before I go. It is described as 25MB - data only. Will I be able to send/receive texts from people I’m travelling with, and people in Canada?

If you're buying a third party local sim, then no you won't be able to call/text from your Public Mobile phone number. The exception would be iMessage or RCS messages that use data.
If you're asking if you'll be able to call/text from a local number, that will depend on the service you're purchasing.

You might be able to send/receive SMS IF you use texting app (3rd party) which utilizes data for transmission.
Plain SMS will not work without cellular service.

@TAB1 Public Mobile will only work in Canada and in U.S. and Mexico if you have one of the roaming plans. It will not work in any other countries so you would need to get a local SIM for the country you are in or if you can get by with Wifi you can use apps like WhatsApp etc

hi @TAB1 since PM does not have roaming in Carribean, you don't be able to send and receive SMS text. But if you have local data, you can send WhatsApp or iMessage with the local data sim

use that data plan in conjuction with WhatsApp to keep in touch with others with that app.
