I presume you've confirmed you have NO calling or texting services. (and didn't just see the expired or suspended renewal messaging on the self-serve site on the eve of renewal...)
Recommend using a Public Mobile payment voucher to restart service, or recharge.com. Payment vouchers are available at many locations which sell prepaid phone cards, including Walmart, Shoppers, Canadian Tire, London Drugs, etc...

Some others have found another option is to use a completely different device to log into self-serve, and using a different browser.

and try open one Browser inPrivate mode,
sign in to Self-Serve,
Click on Payment
Make a Payment

Click ‘Submit’,

Unfortunately, autopay does fail. In your self service account, you should be able to manually load up funds equivalent to your month's plan. Then the plan should automatically re-activate.
If that does not work, you can also try dial 611 on your phone and see whether you can load up funds that way.

You will need to know your PIN number.

Logon to My Account, select Payment, click on the One time Payment and try to manually pay with Amount Due option there. If it fails, then use the option "Other" and manually enter your plan amount.
If that does not restore your service there are few other options but to not complicate things try this one first.
