I was excited about your plans and decided I would set up my sons phone on your service. Since you switched to your 4G/3G mix match I can now get a better plan at Koodo, which you think you would not let happen as your parent company and Koodo are related. Not sure what I am going to do now, I was hoping to get the plan with 90 day, province wide, texting and 2GB data for $120. I think that calling the new plans 3G gives the wrong impression that PM is using old tech Really PM already states it's basically 3G speeds up to 2.5mbps but with coverage and reliability of LTE (in other words it is LTE capped at 2.5mbps download speeds) Why not label it LTE lite or something to communicate it is still LTE but just tiered speeds No different than cable or dsl internet that is speed throttled, you still get the same latency My LTE speeds vary from 7 to 20+mbps depending where I am (proximity to towers or within buildings) but latency remains about the same so the so called 3G speed plans using LTE should have similar latency as 4G speed LTE Thoughts? ... Here's my take on how I see things: I think the 3G Plans are way too Vain, and perhaps out of sync with the realities we face.   Here's what I would have done differently:   IF 4G speeds were let's say, 51MB, I would cap at let's say 31MB, a Middle of the ground approach   Let's say, Prov-Wide+Global Txt+4GB under 3G was $57for 30 Days, and the LTE $80, What IF Take that same plan, BUT under 4G, BUT no LTE, and 31 instead of 51MB, $55, LTE Version $75, would that be fair?   90 Days: Let's say, Prov-Wide+Global Txt+6GB under 3G was $141 Take same version, just LTE, $180 Prov-Wide+Global Txt+6GB under 4G $140 Same version BUT LTE, $152   Can-Wide+Global Txt+6GB under 3G was $156 LTE Version $195   Can-Wide US+Global Txt+6GB under 3G was $171 LTE Version  $210 Can-Wide US+Global Txt+6GB under 4G $170 LTE Version $185   4G version:  $155 LTE Version  $172       ... Now that we have had More Moderators Joined the Community as it is the only source of customer service is it possible to have hours extended.  Currently Mods are only available until 6 PM Pacific Time.  If there was even a mod that was available until 9 PM Pacific that would be a HUGE improvement for us not in the Eastern Time Zone.  I know it will be said that but we get 3 extra hours in the morning but that truly isn't the case for people that aren't up by 6 AM.   Not only would it help people in the West but now there would only be 9 hours of when there are no Mods available.  I suggested the below when I had first joined and hoping this may get more consideration now that the Social Media Support has been cut and added to the Community side. https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Public-Lab/Regional-Mods/idi-p/87288 ... Instead of the notifications tab redirecting to a seperate web page, why not make it into a drop down menu to look at your most recent notifications with the option to see all of them on the seperate webpage. Would make traversing the forums a bit more efficient in my opinion.  ... View more

We see these posts daily. Lots of confusion out there. It is a simple fix.   Remove the word "expired" from plan and put in something more intuitive. There are curently 54 pages of ideas in the public lab which is about 1080 topic ideas.  I think PM should go through them and and assign 90% of the brand new items (many of which are not brand new) to their respective categories from thinking about it to not for us.       I would also add a category waiting community feedback (posts that are more than 2-3 months ie not brand new , but no decision has been made.).     I would also merge and or delete some of the duplicates (not sure if its possible) ... Small idea here, not sure if will truly affect anyone. Im thinking if Interac Online could be another form of payment / top up on self-serve. Sometimes there are a few people who want to use one credit card for multiple accounts, but are unaware that some issues arise with using one credit card for numerous accounts (for registration anyway). Some people might not have a credit card, are having credit card issues, or are just unable to find a public mobile voucher and need to top up their account for an add on, before the account is suspended, ect. For the sake to keep the heat out of the community and to keep it clean, PM should post a poll question to gather users opinion before launching anything. May be there is a way to enable only for reputed members to exclude new users. Yes, it might reveal the surprise, but its better to not launch something they are likely not happy about. If majority is disagreeing, PM might want to rethink it through instead of launching it out of the wind. Some strategies could be used here to gather what reputed users are agreeing to. I remember that we used to have a poll question on the community front page, and i am sure many wish for it to return. Using it to gather users opinion would be a good idea. Many things PM wants to bring such as the price increase, users opinion might not matter in this case, but community is the only place to get help, help others and share our opinions. Hello:   1) The setup for a PM client Community  member should be part of the User's account setup.  Then there is only one PM password to remember.  It is not User friendly to treat the Community forums as a separate enitity except for a Community User name (i.e. not show the User's real name) for PM clients.   2) If the intent is to allow non-PM clients (prospective client) the ability to ask questions via PM Commuity forums prior to their decision to go with PM then they could be flagged as non-PM clients. If they become a PM Client then their Community user name (non-PM Client) could be linked to their PM-Client account when they setup their PM client account since their email used during the non-PM client could be the link between the two.  Alternatively they could just select a new Community user name.   3)  It is highly doubltful that any non-PM client would be a continuous PM Community forum member.  So the focus should be making it simple for PM-Clients.   Cheers ...
