I recently purchased a Samsung galaxy a13 5g with Public Mobile and the sim card stopped being detected i did try in an other phone and it works.
any clues how to fix this i tried most of the solutions online with no success and im thinking of returning the phone 😞

my sim works fine in other phone but i did the flashlight test ...hard to see in small slot 😞
how do i get an exchange / repair process started ?

@Patswix it likely not, but have you test with another active sim card to confirm if the sim slot is faulty?
you still have warranty and can ask for a exchange/repair easily?

thanks for all your replies ....im starting to wonder if the recent android 13 software update i installed might have something to do with it .

If SIM works in other phones but not yours it could be hardware failure in your phone.
You could try to blow dry air (not by mouth, air-cans work well) or gently brush away possible dust from SIM compartment with small (paint) brush. Look with flashlight for broken or bent contacts.
Finally try some other SIM know to be working in other phones in your phone to confirm it is a phone failure.

@Patswix Please try the other way, try to put another ACTIVE SIM card to see if the phone detect
Also, make sure you put the sim card the proper way (sorry, it happens to many customers before 🙂 )
If another active sim card also does not work, it would be a device issue and you will need to send the phone back or go back to the store and have them to try on another sim card

@Patswix @Sounds like it. It could be the phone itself , if you need to return it you will need to submit a ticket
Getting help from agent , through automation
Or get direct help from a agent right here in the community ( my preferred choice )
