reactivating telephone service

aaquyuning

My son's telephone service has been suspended due to the change of the credit card expiry date the pre-authorized service is connected to. He cannot download the mobile app to his phone because he does not have the Apple ID number to download the app. I tried calling *611 but they ask for a PIN number which he doesn't have. I've tried setting up a Public Mobile Account but after submitting his email address and password it just takes you back to the main page (after submitting the verification code).  Without being able to set up an account for him I cannot change the credit card.

Another way around the problem with your son’s phone not downloading the PM app.

On your phone, logout of your account if you have a PM account. Login to his account and put his SIM in your phone.

Once you are in his account. Go to the Payment tab>Update Card Information.

Once the card is updated. You can make a manual payment so he can restore service on his phone. Logout of his account and put your SIM back in your phone and log back into your account if you are on PM.

@aaquyuning Are you able to login to the desktop version and update payment details there? If not, best to open a ticket using the orange chat bubble on the bottom right and start a chat with CS_Agent

@aaquyuning , please try using this link to set up a PIN code.  Note that 611 does not allow you to change a credit card.  You will need to login to the online account to do that.  The solution is to go into the existing account, change the credit card and reactive.  If you are having issues with browser access to the online account, try using incognito mode.
