I experienced the same issue a few days ago... Actually I found out that the words "Street" or "Avenue", etc... must be written in order for the address to be recognized. For example, "4625 Leonard, Toronto, ON, H3X4G9" would not work, but "4625 Leonard Street, Toronto, ON, H3X4G9" would.
Hope this helps!

@Chalupa_Batman - address could be another province (say a parent's address paying for kid's phone plan) or any valid address in Canada.

If I recall correctly, before the big Self Serve/My Account change you didn't have to have any address whatsoever in our profiles; especially if one was paying via voucher / tops ups. Maybe other members have a better memory of this to confirm or not. I notice it doesn't accept a blank field now.

If account had credit card on autopay it may needed to match the billing address of the card holder paying for the account, but can't quite remember...that seems like soo long ago now.

That symbol should help narrow a valid address location for anyone having issues.

Global Positioning System (GPS) or trilateration capability according to crtc.ca

The address field searches moments after you enter something. Type in your street address and see what it finds. It would give a little pop up area showing what it found. If you have a unit # then just type the unit number without a #. Then a dash - then the street address. No spaces. See what it finds. Then for the street name you may need to try different variations depending on its complexity. Like numbered streets or street directions.
Go to Google Maps and try your address there. If it finds it then the address entry should be able to accept it. Don't just keep typing. You have to let it find you to select it in the box.

Adding - @Chalupa_Batman - For obvious (and fortunate) reasons I rarely call 911. With droughts and fires everywhere I noticed somebody fooling around in a grassy shrubby area and saw what I thought to be sparking of some sort. I called 911. The phone automatically turned on location services and wifi. It was back in the day of landlines that they would know your address. They don't anymore. The call centre isn't going to check a database of alleged addresses of cell phone companies. This place doesn't verify addresses anyway. It can be anything. 911 asks for your location. If unable to say then they have a rough location of the phone you used to call. Not the address of the account.

@esjliv I would disagree fully with you my friend. Having a correct and accurate account information like your address is imperative when requiring the services of 911. If @Poopsie4 was unable to speak and required emergency assistance and police, ambo or fire were sent to the wrong address, goodbye Poopsie. 😞

@Poopsie4 what would be the purpose of updating it? It doesn't matter really in ir profile.  Unless you are entering billing address somewhere.

If you have an address like 1-500 block,  then try a comma instead of the hypen and/or try spelling "one".

One more question. Do you live in an apartment or house? But please answer first post too. 🙂

Was it a postal code issue? If so, there have been issues with PM using misinformation from Google that's been causing updates to addresses. Let us know exactly what the error is so we can help you figure it out.
