@Icey7860

It's better if you can put your Sim card in another phone and text or make a call but if not even the second Sim slot of dual sim phone helps otherwise remove the Sim card for 10 minutes then reseat it and reboot your phone.

HI @Icey7860   are you in Alberta or Sask?

They have voice (and text?) problem 2 days ago

Try to reseat your sim card with a reboot

@Icey7860  -

Did you activate with a new number and are you an iphone user?

If so, deregister the old number on the iphone: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/

And set up your new phone number On your iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Messages and make sure that iMessage is on. You might need to wait a moment for it to activate.
  2. Tap Send & Receive. If you see “Use your Apple ID for iMessage,” tap it and sign in with the same Apple ID that you use on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch.
  3. In the "You can receive iMessages" section, make sure that your phone number and Apple ID are selected.
  4. Go to Settings > FaceTime and make sure that your phone number and Apple ID are selected in the "You can be reached by FaceTime at" section.

EDIT, did you try a reset of your device's network settings in the 'everything' you tried? If not, try that and see if texting works.

Thanks for all your help Softech

@Icey7860   Text from friend should work almost immediately (if any delay would be less than 24 hours)

Text from system could take as many as 7 days to work

For your situation, I suggest you to first try  reboot your phone, then click "Reset All Network"

If it still does not work, try your sim card in another phone if you have a one around

If that does not work or you have no spare phone to try, time to open ticket with PM support, they can reprovison the sim and should be able to get it working again

1. Please open ticket via Chatbot (need access to My Account): At https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.

Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗"

2. If you have trouble with Chatbot or you don't have access to My Account: Private message CS Agent at:

    https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply to you there

@Icey7860  do you not able to receive 2FA text (system text), like those security code from signing into bank sites?   Can you receive text from friends?

@Icey7860   did you just join PM and did you request porting in your phone number?

can you confirm if you can recieve incoming calls?  I suspect you might not be receiving incoming calls as well

if you ported in your number, the porting request could be "stuck".  There is a number you can call to confirm the status.  Will message you the phone number.  Please check Community inbox
