in coming calls on the $15/month plan

When I signed up in September, the $15/month plan included "Unlimited Incoming Calls" as a feature, (which I was lead to believe that I wasn't charged for incoming calls), but I don't see this feature when I look at the plan today.

Can someone tell me if incoming calls count against the 100 minutes, or if I was grandfathered on that feature?

@DNA55    Here's confirmation of the $15 plan/details which is only available when changing plans if not on it already.

@dabr Nice they have the 'incoming' noted, but it would be also nice if they said 'Outgoing' noted in the 100 Canada wide minutes eh ? 🤔

Take the guesswork out of the wording and plans PM.

@DNA55

Your friend informed you the wrong information. It is unlimited incoming calls and 100 minutes outgoing calls but keep in mind that when you answer your voicemail box, it will count as outgoing minutes (100 minutes).

To save on outgoing calls, you can text (unlimited) your friends and family to call (unlimited) you if they are on an unlimited plan.

If I were to hazard a guess @DNA55 public mobile is attempting to make its higher priced plans appear more valuable by making these small changes to the plan description of the lower end plans.

They’re doing the same thing with respect to explaining public points on the plan descriptions leading some customers to believe when they change plans, they also must change from their old reward system to the public points system.

The ultimate goal of their creative omissions is to make money.

It can also be confirmed by logging in to the chatbot and finding the plan details using the manage my account buttons provided.

@DNA55  You definitely won’t be charged for incoming calls on the $15 plan .. it’s just the outgoing calls that count against your 100 mins ,,, and note that even if you make a call and it’s just 15 seconds it will count as 1 minute used

@DNA55 no worry, Unlimited incoming calls is there.  Somehow the Plan Details not showing it but it is there.  My family and friends have couple $15 plans so I can confirm first hand. 🙂

@DNA55  - the $15 plan IS Unlimited Incoming calls, so no worries there. The wording is not very clear in the plans currently. You are safe to get as many incoming calls as possible! 🙂

Incoming do not count against the 100 OUTGOING.

Note, checking your voicemail from your public mobile device DOES count against your OUTGOING minutes, but you can call your phone from another line to avoid this.

@DNA55

Nothing has changed other than the description of the features of the $15 plan being less descriptive.
