I have the Canada/US/Mexico plan. I am currently staying near Puerto Vallarta. A few days ago I was able to make calls back to Canada. As of yesterday, I can no longer do that. I have not changed any settings. I have an iPhone running IOS 18.3. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

hi @Debra25
was it *1 or +1 that you use? Usually it is + 1 that works
and you can always use VoIP app to make calls if you are in a rush to make the call and no time to play around the different ways. Try TextNow or Fongo

Tried all of your suggestions, thanks! Nothing worked until one of the PM people suggested using * then 1 plus the number. It worked! Why 00 worked for the first 10 days and then we had to use *, I’ll never know, but I’m just glad we got it working.

I will try that when we are out and about later today. Just so strange. We made several calls back to Canada last week and starting on Sunday, we keep getting either a busy signal or a message that says the call can’t be completed as dialled. I haven’t changed anything on my phone.

if you're in just one area...can you try going to a different part of town...or even just a mile away from the resort. See if that helps.

I have 4 reception bars with AT&T, a very small single with Telcel.
yes, I rebooted my phone, more than once. Did not help.
I have data when I’m out and about (e.g. WhatsApp).
yes, tried making the calls with 00 + 1 and with just +1
I did try manually selecting network provider (AT&T and Telcel).

we're in Mazatlan and using either Telcel or AT&T, we dial +1, area code, number to successfully call Canada...made a few calls today as a matter of fact. Public Mobile works in Mexico as good as any other provider. We haven't had any major calling / texting / data problems since we got here in early January.

HI @Debra25
try these different ways to call back Canada (or US). People confirmed one of these ways would work

hi @Debra25
1. Do you see reception bars on your iphone ?
2. Did you reboot your phone, if yes , did you try to make any calls , and did it help ?
3. Do you have mobile internet and it's working ?
4. Did you try to make calls with +1 <phone number, 001<phone number> as suggested before ?
5. Did you try to make any changes to the network coverage and select manually Mobile Service Providers ?
It would be helpful to provide some answers, so the members can support and provide some ideas / guidance.
Best.

It works for some most likely not for most.
You cannot expect fantastic international service from 3rd tier mobile provider... Next time pick decent (and expensive) provider with reliable international service.

does data work? you were connected to AT&T or Telcel? try manually connect to both and test calling by
+1 Area Code and Phone number
or 1 Area code and phone number
or 00 1 Area code and phone number
