I purchased an USA Talk and Text. ($15). I wanted it mostly for talking. Talk never did work. My Text did work. How do I get a refund. I tried to submit a ticket. It replied..... wasn't available?
This is very frustrating that you can't get an issue resolved.

It isn't clear (to me anyway, but that's not conclusive) whether a VoLTE-capable handset not on this list MIGHT NOT work, or WON'T work in the US with a PM SIM.
If your handset isn't VoLTE capable, it definitely won't work (except in a few rare situations, something to do with a few 2G towers still operating in US). If you think your handset might not be VoLTE capable, you can check with the Mint BYOP (IMEI) checker. It will reject you if you don't have VoLTE capability. https://www.mintmobile.com/byop/

Critical part to US roaming depends on T-Mobile/AT&T coverage and whether you can connect successfully onto either network.
With your voice issue, make sure VoLTE is enabled on the device setting. And if it does not work, try to change the Network to T-Mobile ONLY, and change Preferred Network Type or Network Mode to 2G and see if the calls go through.
Also, you can download VoIP app TextNow as a workaround to make calls and text if you have Wifi or if your roaming has data component and data is working
