I want to call the U.S only once, is there a add-on for that, how long does the add-on last and can I cancel it anytime. I’m in Canada. Thank you

How To Purchase Add-Ons Using Your Self-Serve Account

To purchase Add-Ons using your  sign in to Self-Serve, account, follow these steps:

1. Click on ‘Purchase Add- Ons’ on the Overview tab and scroll down to the Add-On calculator.
2. Click the plus sign (+) to add and the minus sign (-) to remove selected Add-ons.
3. When you’ve added all your desired Add-Ons, click ‘Buy Add-Ons’ or ‘Make a Payment’ below the calculator:
   • You will see ‘Make a Payment’ instead of ‘Buy Add-Ons’ if there are not enough funds in your account to make the purchase.
   • If you don’t have sufficient funds to purchase the Add-Ons, you will be asked to make a one-time payment equal to the price of the Add-On, less your current available funds. Click ‘Submit’, then ‘Go back’: now the button below the calculator will say ‘Buy Add-Ons’.
4. Select ‘Confirm my purchase’, and you’re off to the races!

5. after you Add-on you have to do Rebooting your phone

   what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

Or if you know another pm customer that has been here at least a year ask them if you could give them a buck or two to call the US if they have the "more the merrier" freebie add ons they may be happy for some one to put them to good use.....I have 1800 minutes I will probably never use and certainly not all of them in my lifetime.....where are you? You wanna borrow my phone and throw me a loonie?😃

Yes, I agree with @Meow .  If you are only calling it once.  TextNow would be perfect.  It give you free calling to anywhere in USA and Canada.  It will give you a phone number and you will loss it if you don't use TextNow for too long.  But in your case, likely not important

Or if you want a more traditional way of calling, get a Calling card for $5.  It is cheaper than buying the Add-ons

You can buy US add-on minutes but if you want to call US ONLY ONCE, I would suggest getting free phone apps like TextNow, Fongo. Depending on call length even 'land line' through voip might cost you few cents instead of getting 1000 minutes you might never entirely use even though they never expire.

@Eliass   If you only have to call the USA once in a while you should consider getting a VoIP phone number from Text Now or Fongo.  It's very convenient!

There is an add-on to call the US that will remain in your account until used up.

1000 U.S. Long Distance Minutes - $15

Calls made to numbers starting with the following six digit combinations are not included in US calling from Canada and will not be completed when dialled: 712-432, 605-562, 641-552, 605-475, 605-477, 712-775, 559-726.

You may consider using a Wi-Fi apps if you call infrequently.  Apps like Textnow, Signal or Skype.

Add-ons never expire, the balance will roll over at the end of 30 days until used up.
