Last night my phone was working fine. This morning it was not able to see the Public Mobile network and I can't get it to show up in the list of available networks. My account is okay and I have paid all my bills.

have you try submit ticket with PM agent for help? They can assist and confirm if it is just a local network problem. Remember if it is just a outage, it could be fixed soon. Things like this happen to any carrier.
submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:
https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" , "Other", "Log In".
If any issue with ticket submission, you can submit ticket by direct message:

Okay. If I take my phone 0.5 km down the road it detects and connects to Public Mobile and works as normal but uses a lot of power up and kills the battery quickly. As soon as I go home and wait a few minutes, the network vanishes and I'm stuck with no service. Since I've had no issues until this morning I have to believe there were coverage changes by Telus/Public Mobile.
Since I there is no way to speak with someone from Public Mobile and the only support is a useless Chat-bot or fellow customers, both of whom can only suggest I restart the phone or check the network settings, I am going to investigate and move to a new service provider. I thinking https://www.nonamemobile.ca/en/. Heading to No Frills now.

Did you also try the network reset of phone? Note: this will erase any saved Wifi passwords.
If you have a physical SIM card, you can also try the SIM card in another working phone. This will help determine whether hardware issue versus PM service problem.

I've restarted my phone numerous times and the Public Mobile network was unavailable. I checked Public Network and Telus and no outages were showing for my area (Sarnia). I was able to get Public Mobile (US) to show up briefly after my phone accidentally connect to the T-Mobile network. I also received a text message from Public Mobile indicating I would require a US roaming package. I live in Sarnia and have been using Public Mobile without issues for a couple of years now.

Also might want to check to see if there is an outage in your area.
