I just set my mom up on Public Mobile and the payment went through but shows up as KOODO ?? Did KOODO but public mobile? I know they're both related to Telus but my payments have always come up as Public Mobile.
Did the activation online.

I'm having trouble finding the more recent threads with this issue but a couple I have come across may have had the same issue but did not specifically where the charge came from that compromised the card but may have been the KOODO REAPPROV charge.

@darlicious in the other threads have peole received the welcome SMS from pm or from Koodo and thus charges on cc from koodo?
Not that two wrongs make 1 right, but maybe would have given a little insight to the credit card charges.

Someone said it was a system glitch and PM looking into it, right?
It is not convenient, but it is not unheard of that some businesses use another name on Credit Card to collect the charge for whatever reason. Maybe PM just need to make it clear on the website that their bill might show Koodo

Maybe you should forward the threads of the 5 customers who unknowingly but being financially prudent cancelled their cards and requested a chargeback when they saw an unauthorized KOODO REAPPROV charge on their statement only to have their accounts and service temporarily suspended. They have subsequently had to jump thru a series of hoops just to regain their service when the blame lies squarely at pm's feet. Here's the latest...

@Jcurry : Good that you noticed and came here to ask. Others rightfully did chargebacks and inadvertently unknowingly cancelled their service.

is happen the first time payment but is normal don't worry about the Koodo and Public Mobile the are family group Telus.
and the next payment will show you from Public Mobile.

The activation payments show up as Koodo, presumably because these two entities share the same activation system. Regular payments will show PM's own name.
Both Koodo and PM are wholly owned subsidiaries of Telus.
