why does it seem like my plan has been changed? i no longer seem to have us data

I have the old 8g canada 2g usa talk text and data plan but now that i am in the US i cannot seem to access the data portion of my plan.  I log into my account and it appears my plan isnt the same as it used to be? 

 

Has something changed ? I have not made changes to my account or plan.

Should customer not see plan details whatever Plan he signed on no matter what Plan offers today?

I am not sure if it was bad signal or what but its working fine after a restart. thanks for the quick assistance.

i put the sim back into an old phone and restarted it and now its working again.  perhaps bad signal the first time i tried or it needed a restart to kick in but everything seems good.  thanks again all for the replies.

Just to be sure ensure your mobile data and roaming are enabled. Check in your settings that you have the 4G/3G/2G ( autoconnect) setting chosen. Then reboot your phone and manually select either at&t or T-Mobile.

The line:

2GB AT 3G SPEED......4.121/2048mb is your US Roaming data.

When you click on plan details what do you see? I don't see the US data on the page above.

Yes, the middle 2GB at 3G Speed. So you have it...just not working for some reason. Please check the things I suggested. Which network? Which protocols?

At some point the plan details changed under "my plan details" but your features have not actually changed. I will look for the screenshot that shows how it now appears in accounts with this grandfathered plan. Check your add ons page for the separate data counter of your 2GB of US Roaming data.

the plan I have is unlimited talk and text while in the US and that is still working.. It is also supposed to include 2g of US data per month.. but i am not able to use that right now for whatever reason.  al9s unlimited talk text 8.5g data in canada.b

That 2gb had its own unique but simple name unlike all the gift ones. All the add-ons get their own unique name.

Things are changing with carriers in the states. Not sure if it would impact data on either 3G or 4G. Likely it would for 3G. See if you can find T-Mobile and use it. If your phone is 4G capable then make sure it's using it as an option.

i am still paying 60 yes.. roaming was on, everything was fine just before i left canada this morning.  the plan worked fine last time we were in the states in January.   I dont see anything specific to US data in the add ons.  there are a few of the bonus add ons that were given away over the past few years that I have never used.  I am fairly sure it was on t mobile service, I changed nothing and it worked in all the same locations in the past.

Confirm first that you still have Plan you initially subscribed for.

If you see anything different than expected, contact agent right away!

I am not familiar with old plans but usually plans are for calling from Canada. Unless PM had a plan where you could call from USA??

Check your networks and connect to T-Mobile. Make sure roaming is on. Check your my data & add-ons and tell us what you have there. Was your data working fine while in Canada? Are you still paying $60.
