How to port number from “Blank” to Public Mobile

First, make sure your number can be ported by checking on this link

https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/default.do

Or log in to your Public Mobile account. If you haven't created one, www.publicmobile.ca

Then on your right side you’ll see this box. Click on Transfer Phone Number. By signing up with PM, you will get a temporary number. Then you'll be able to port your old number to PM. The other number MUST be an active one, meaning the other account is still open.

Then enter the number you want transfer and continue to next step

NOTE: Keep your old providers SIM card inside the phone until you get the confirmation text. Say YES. But wait just a bit longer until you no longer see your old provider's name up top. Once it’s gone, try making a call to test. If you can not make a call using your old providers SIM, the transfer has gone through.

@spoosh1

As mentioned, try not to use IME

Use account number of original carrier, account holder name and phone number.  That should be enough.  Make sure to keep your old carrier SIM card in  your phone until you receive the port request text from your original carrier. Respond with Yes to request.

@spoosh1  No the IMEI is not needed just the old provider account number is all that’s needed . Don’t use the IMEI it just causes hiccups .

adding the IMEI is a number unique  identifier to your phone only . Nothing to do with the carrier you’re using .
