I want to transfer my current number to Koodo and also apply for a new number with Public Mobile for my family. Can I use my existing account and purchase a new SIM card to use with it? Will my current plan and reward balance change? What steps do I need to take?

@Noraaron if you are looking to transfer (port out) an existing number, that action will automatically close out your existing PM account so you will lose any referrals etc, and there is no way to transfer that to another Public Mobile account. You could open up a new account and use your current referral code so that the new account gets the $10 credit but that's about it.

unfortunately i believe the account and number and linked together, so you can either port the number out which will close the account, or will have to use a new number at another service provider if you want to keep your account open. You could also create a new account here but will require a new purchase of a sim.

you cannot. Once you ported out the number, the account will be closed and there is no way to get a new number to keep the old account here. So, if you ported, you will need to get a new sim card (or activate with new esim) and activate a new account

sorry @Noraaron , there is no way to keep the existing account but port the number out. Many asked that and we got confirmation that this cannot be done
