Number transfer issue

I am experiencing an issue with transferring my phone number from Virgin to Public Mobile. Here are the details:

I have confirmed with Virgin that my number has been released successfully.

I can receive calls on my existing number (the one I intended to port).

However, I cannot make outbound calls.

My phone general data also shows that the number I am using is the temporary number provided by Public Mobile, rather than the number I transferred.

How could I rectify this problem?

hi @Hiuming 

if you cannot make outbound, make sure your Virgin sim card is removed.  If you have Virgin esim, disable it first

then reboot the phone, Reset network settings.  Then go back and make sure Public Mobile sim or esim is the only one there.  Make sure it is set as Primary and active and Turn on this line is enabled
