no bars/ no mobile network after activation

Using a Fairphone (FP1U). It's duo sim, and my new Freedom mobile SIM doesn´t work after its activation. I´m getting no bars on my Public Mobile sim card, even if I tried manually, restart the phone, tried different sim card slots. What can I do?

Mostly the issue isn’t with the hardware, it might be because of your Android OS. Follow these tips, I hope your issue will get resolved:

1: Switch off your phone, take out its battery and sim card and insert them back.

2.Turn on/off airplane mode and then check out your mobile network.

3. Manually select mobile network.

4 Turn on roaming and check if it works.

5.Switch of the phone and turn it back on

  

If its still not working ,just try to back up information and reset the phone….or try using 1 sim just for 5 minutes.

I'm a little confused are you saying you were using a freedom sim in the phone then added a second sim from public to the other slot and now neither work?
