Here's 4 articles on activation and porting and the Refer a friend reward if you need them:
1. What you require to activate https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/what-you-need-to-activate
2.How to activate https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/activation-account-set-up
3.How to port https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/choose-your-phone-number
4. Refer a friend https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/the-refer-a-friend-reward
Note your old providers account must be active to port your number. The port will close it once its completed. Welcome to PM. Stay safe.

@AgnesCollins Hello If you have finished the process of signing up go into your self serve account and simply change your Sim number, Over to the right on the main page under my profile it says change the Sim card simply change Sim card number there good luck

Once you receive your new SIM card, you can change the SIM card number on your account and reactivate your service via Self-Serve by following these steps:

When I tried to activate my account my SIM was damaged. I have received a new SIM. How do I proceed

Yeah, I'm definitely leaning towards your interpretation of the situation.

All users that have chosen to show their online status are here. I think it's set to on by default anyway.
Hover over or click on the username and you can send them a pm. But I seem to think that the individual mods block incoming pm's. So as above... just send pm's to the team.

Good luck with getting a moderator to reply to you.
I've waited 45 hours, no reply so far.
Apparently (removed) fan a couple days ago that they're trying to fix internally* so i'm guessing will take some time.

Hi,
In order to contact the Moderator team, I would suggest sending them a private message.
