Just noticed that my account was charged $90 for International texting on Sept 17th. This is a change to my account which I did not request and I am also wondering what has happened to my credits for loyalty and autopay

@Phil_Adelphus Even if that were the case, there's still no way to get surprise overages. Someone had to sign up and pay for something consciously. Either via the online account, or by responding to a text offer from the phone.
Or it's unrelated to the OP's account and someone stole their credit card and bought their own PM services. This is where screenshots of the account history would be helpful. At this point it's a guessing game. I'm confident there is a logic explanation though.

Is it possible these older 90 day plans didn't have unlimited texting? Still doesn't make sense that an add-on would be $90 though

@llibrarian1 What you describe is not possible. First, there are no surprise overages. Any service you have, you must prepay for. Second, international texting [from Canada] is included in all plans.
Did someone buy roaming add-on's maybe? Please take a look at your payment history to see if it can provide any more details.

There is No such thing as 'charge for international texting' at PM.
SMS is free with any PM plan.

There no add-on plans for international texting on PM…only international calling so I find it strange.
Maybe it for a 90 day plan but login to your account and check the Payment section and let us know what it is showing for the charges.

@llibrarian1 , please review the payment history in your online account around the time that you think extra payments were taken. Also confirm the subscription you currently have to make sure that a change was not made in error.

screenshot your payment history screen which shows this $90 charge for international texting.
Make sure to mask any personal or private information.

I have just received an updated credit card that was used for payment. Same card, just new expiry date. Would this have made a difference? I have changed the expiry in my account now.

log in to your account and click Rewards...you should get to see a breakdown of your Rewards over the last period since renewal.
added...also, click on Payments, there you can get to View Payment History to see a breakdown of recent renewal costs.

I have changed nothing in my account since starting with Public so should still have the rewards, I believe.

If you feel comfortable, maybe screenshot your payment history page. That would provide additional information. Did you change plans recently? Sometimes the wording of the billing details can be confusing.
As for loyalty and autopay rewards, did you recently switch to points system? The legacy rewards will be paid at payment date of base plan.

I have always been on a plan whereby I paid every 3 months if that is what is meant. I have made no changes since signing up a number of years ago.

something must be amiss as there's no separate international texting ...all texting is included in a plan. Did you recently upgrade your plan to a 90 day plan or something ?
