the speed difference is certainly there.  You can see that with speed test

on the other hand, most users won't see any speed advantages if all you do is just web browsing and browsing FB or IG.  You will only see the speed advantage if you download a lot, share internet or playing intense games

So, if you are the 75% of the internet users,  pick a plan with the amount of data you need. 4G or 5G does not matter

They keep changing all the time --- just refreshed my account page and now an offer to switch to a 90 day plan. This is like checking the stock marked and waiting for buy deals.

Just seconds ago - a $25 10GB has again become available ($300+13%= $335/year) . This time I  selected it for my next renewal date unless another more suitable plan shows up.

@Immune  Yes check your account there are some new plans for existing customers 20GB for $30 CAN /US plan or 75GB $45 CAN/US plan that I see . Depending on your plan you currently have you might even see more attractive plans then that . And I think it’s good idea to check every day untill Black Friday for new offerings

Been anticipating great deals and even prepared to port out and in if required. So far , in my case anyway, it’s very disappointing. No new offers available in my account or in new plans.

Some good news for Black Friday offers for existing customers.

I switched from $23 4G 6GB to same price and same plan with added 100 minutes of international calling (UK, HK, etc).  Something for nothing.

My wife was on $29 4G 10GB and she switched to same plan at lower $25. She saves $4/month.

My son is currently on the $34 5G 50GB US/CAN plan. There is  $30 4G US/CAN 20 GB 250 minutes international calling plan available to him.  He would downgrade speed and total data.  However, he never maxes out usage. Saving $4 maybe worth it to switch.

3G speed with 3Mbps should be able to handle Fackbook or send pictures 

what phone do you have? 

Try Reboot All Networks first and try again.  Also try run speed test and find out the speed you got  (but please note a speed test could easily use up 100Mbps)

3G won't be going away till at least 2027 or so (the initial end of 2025 for Bell and Telus has been postponed)

but for your plan, it is a 3G speed plan.  That means while your speed is capped at 3 Mbps, you can access PM's 4G and 5G network still

So, in summary, you won't be forced to change plan even 3G network is going away

@yyjyyj  Your might be confusing my reply with @slusagm quote of my reply . If so for clarification I was talking about 60GB for $75 90 day plan . So having 60GB  to use over 90 days will average 20GB for $25 every 30 days . Hope that makes sense and answers your question

They changed the plan here for 5G same amount only real difference they changed the name from international to Canada US, 36.00

$19 1gb of Data at 4G Speed

$20 3 GB of Data  at 4G Speed

$23 6 GB of Data at 4G Speed

$25 10 GB of Data at 4G Speed

On my account page. I selected it to take effect on my renewal date . I'm assuming that if a more suitable plan becomes available I could change to without any problems.
