Has anyone actually got the US data included plan to work across the border? I've tried switching specifically to AT&T 4G but that didn't work either. I couldn't get any data until I paid for an add-on. This happened to me both in New York and Pennsylvania.
How can I get this sorted? Can I be credited back for paid data that I should already have?

I was just there an hour ago and it worked great. If you got it to work with a roaming add-on, that implies you don't actually have the Canada/US version of the $34/50GB plan. There are two versions; if you have the unlimited data version, it doesn't include US.
AT&T 4G as well as both T-Mobile 4G and 5G work great. At times AT&T 5G will work too, but that's hit and miss.

@Meowmobile1 Which Canada-US plan do you have? There are two $34 plans, one US-Canada and one Canada-only, both with 50GB data although the Canada-only one is unlimited. There have been a couple of occasions mentioned on here where people wanted the Canada-US plan but got the Canada-only instead. Or is everything working for you except data?

@Meowmobile1 yes, many confirmed it works without problem. Which state and city you are at??
Critical part to US roaming depends on T-Mobile/AT&T coverage and whether you can connect successfully onto either network.
If the phone is not connecting to T-Mobile/AT&T, change the Network Connection from Automatic to Manual and select and test both T-Mobile and AT&T and see which one you can connect.
If your issue is with data, make sure your Roaming Mobile data is enabled and you have disabled your mobile data limiter. Also change your network mode to 4G (and don't try 5G until you can connect and works on 4G)
If your issue is with voice, make sure VoLTE is enabled on the device setting. And if it does not work, try to change the Network to T-Mobile ONLY, and change Preferred Network Type or Network Mode to 2G and see if the calls go through.
Also, you can download VoIP app TextNow as a workaround to make calls and text if you have Wifi or if your roaming has data component and data is working

Hey @Meowmobile1
Click on T-Mobile instead. I've never had any problems when in the US on T-Mobile. Go into network settings, turn off automatic, choose T-Mobile, make sure Data Roaming is turned on then reboot the phone. You should be up and running....
