Hello,
Ever since I joined Public Mobile many of my friends are not able to receive a text message from me. I have been with PM for over a year and have managed to keep in contact with these people through different platforms such as Whatsapp, Messenger or Signal.
However it is getting to a point where I have NEW friends who do not have these platforms and they are unable to receive text messages from me.
I can recieve them, but when I reply back they do not get them.
I have a LG Velvet that was with Virgin and then I trnasfered to PM getting a new number but not changing my phone. I have tried changing the settings, like taking off RCS chats....or in some cases turning it on....but still NOTHING.
I have rebooted the phone and still NOTHING.
Can someone please help as if I cannot get this fixed I will have to find a different provider as this did not happen when I was with Virgin.
Many thanks
Celia

Hello again,
I have tried all options now 😞
Simm in another phone (Didnt work) down loaded a different messenger App, still didn't work.....and then I tried your link to CS_ click and that didn't take me to a page where I could send them a message.
I am at a loss now as to how to proceed.
Can someone please advise further help.
Thanks Celia

@Celiasplace42 You can download a different android messenger app from the google play store to try . But first if you have another phone close by to test as i mentioned earlier . If it works then it’s a device issue like a setting in the phone but if it doesn’t work then it most likely a account issue and in that case you will need support to investigate
send a private message To CS_Agents click

@Celiasplace42 testing the sim in another phone confirm if it is a device iddir. Also, it will force a sim re-provision and could resolve some account issue
For different messenger app, download Google Message and set it as the default messenger app. Google messenger is a more updated app while the stock LG messenger has no more support

As a last ditch effort, you can always reach out to a CS Agent and ask for a network reset. They will explain how that works.

You'll see an envelope in the top right corner of the page, that's where it will come.
Also adding this link.

What do you mean by a diffreent messenger app? I am using the standard text message app that came with the phone....excuse my not understanding.

Just note this. And this is a major reason I never suggest network resetting. By resetting all your network settings you lose every log in and password for every WiFi service you've used in the past including home, friends, family, work, restaurants and so on. Just saying to be aware of that first before attempting this. I'm not an android guy but hopefully Google can help as well.

I have cleared network settings and that has not worked 😞

@Celiasplace42 Testing the sim in another phone will help determine if this is an account issue or device issue .

Hello Handy1,
I will try resetting network setting. I had thought of trying the SIM in a different phone but what difference would this make as I want to use the Lg Velvet.

@Celiasplace42 Maybe try resetting network settings , also can you test the SIM card in another phone to try ? .
