No, a Telus SIM card will not work with Public Mobile.
Even though Telus completely owns and operates Public Mobile on the exact same network towers, their SIM cards are not interchangeable. Each brand uses its own distinct SIM card programming to authenticate with the network.
To use Public Mobile, you have two options.
An eSIM. If your phone supports it, you can buy and install a digital eSIM instantly right through the Public Mobile app during activation.
A Public Mobile Physical SIM: You can buy an official Public Mobile physical SIM card online (via Amazon or Public Mobile's website) or pick one up in person at a Mobile Klinik store/kiosk.
