Hi, I've been with Public mobile for years and I've been very pleased with the simplicity and the plans offered. I made many people switch to those amazing plans.
Right now, I have the plan 20 GB for 30 dollars, but I don't need that much data and would love to have the plan 6GB for 23 dollars. I went into my account, but I can't see it.
How can I do that? I was told that I had to cancel my plan and come back, which I can't believe this is the only way for a customer to change their plan. The chat didn't help and I'm stuck. I prefer to stay with Public mobile (because when I'm happy, I always prefer to stay with my provider).
Thanks for your help.

Their deceptive business model is to not even warn their loyal customers that they can't downgrade back once they upgrade.
Anything flies for them to maximize AMPU (Avg Margin Per User) with tactics like this while depriving customers of ANY real-time support.
One will be better off voting with their wallet and moving on to a different carrier.

In the event that an agent can’t switch you to something lower, re-Check you personalized subscription offers closer to (and including) Boxing Day. I have a strong feeling you will see a better plan at that time. Hang in there, and best of luck!

Not all available lower cost plans are available to everybody.
If you do NOT see it when you log in then it is not available to you. Some cheaper plans are available to new customers only. PM removed option to downgrade plans (in favour of whatever business model they run).
ONLY option to get cheaper (cheapest) plan is to cancel your current one and sign up again. Meaning you have to by new sim, have new unused email, get new number. You cannot keep your current one in this case.

Public Mobile has made it so that you can only downgrade to certain plans, if you when you sign into your account do not see the $23/6GB Plan that means you cannot downgrade to it. You can always try messaging a CS_agent asking them to put you on it but there is no guarantee. If you want to leave and come back that is possible but you would need to find a different service provider, port over to new service provider. After a few days you can port back in. Keep in mind, doing this you will loose any points you have in your account.
