Hi
Just Switched service provider and wanted to know if I need to do anything to stop credit card monthly payment?

Also, this month payment was just processed on the 14th. Is there going to be a refund?

thanks

Hello @Jor Everyone below is correct. Once a port has successfully been completed and your Public Mobile phone number has been ported to your new provider, your account is automatically closed and no further payments come off your credit card.  Simple as that. Now, to confirm this is very easy. During the port process, you will get a text from PM asking your permission to port your number. You must say YES to a text. Don't remember your PM SIM yet. Wait till you see the Public Mobile name remove from the top of your screen. Once you see it gone, try making a call. If you're unable to make a call, congrats. Your number is ported and your PM account is now closed.

BTW... sorry to see you go. Good luck @Jor

@Jor- This place does not take ore for payment 🙂
It sounds like maybe you didn't confirm the transfer text.

Adding - prior post from other user got edited 🙂

@Jor PM is pre paid no refunds . But if you ported  your number out successfully then you won’t be charged again . Otherwise if you just got new phone number with new provider you need to turn off auto subscribe or get support to remove credit card info from file

HI @Jor

sorry, no refund. PM is prepaid service

and if you ported out your number, your account would be closed already, so no extra work

But if you got new number with your new carrier (didn't port), then of course, you need to disable Autopay
